At Hope Starts Here, we believe every young person deserves a safe place to belong and a path toward a healthy adulthood. We are working toward creating a home filled with care, mentorship, and support — and starting by providing relationships, advocacy, and guidance so unaccompanied and housing-vulnerable youth can build confidence and succeed. Inspired by the proven model of Starting Right, Now in Tampa, Florida, we are thoughtfully bringing this life-changing work to Northeast Wisconsin.
Why It Matters
Across Wisconsin, too many high school students are experiencing homelessness or housing instability without foster care or family support. Many are couch-surfing, sleeping in unsafe places, or leaving home because of abuse or rejection. Hope Starts Here exists to walk alongside these young people — helping them stay in school, feel seen and supported, and build a future rooted in stability and belonging.
